Dr Sahira Dar
​Chairperson and Founder

A GP and Holistic Therapist working in Pollokshields, Glasgow. Sahira has been involved in a variety of community initiatives with Islamic organisations in the last decade and continues her Islamic education, having recently completed the iSyllabus Advanced course.

Shaykh Hassan Rabbani
A Mufti, Imam and Chaplain based in Glasgow. He works for a variety of different organisations and is passionate about Interfaith work.

From a background in education and research, Firsila currently works as an examiner. She wants to see mosques being relevant for her children and the community, for their social and spiritual needs.

A GP originally from London who is keen to be an active member of the community and help enhance the experience for everyone at Scottish mosques.

A Social Work Lecturer with an interest in youth justice and community based projects. Aspires to see mosques as community hubs serving  all.

A GP working in the East end of Glasgow. Samiah has a keen interest in seeing mosques becoming a welcoming and inclusive hub for their local communities.​

Elisa Sajed
A PhD researcher examining violence against women and girls in the South Asian community. Elisa was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2016 and has two children with additional support needs, which has driven her to strive for inclusion in Islamic environments.

​A medical doctor with over 25 years experience in community work locally and nationally across the UK. His particular interests are working with young people, university ISOCs and grassroots projects.

Maariyah has been working in community based organisations over a number of years and has a background in research and development.

With over 20 years experience working with community projects, Shazia is passionate about seeing a positive change in mosques to be open and welcoming for everyone. She is currently working at a special needs school.
